Easy Recipe

Homemade Sports Drink

Ingredients:

  • 1 ¾ cup coconut water or herbal tea of your choice
  • ⅛ tsp pink Himalayan salt
  • 2-3 tsp raw honey, to taste
  • ¼ cup 100% citrus juice of your choide: lemon, lime, orange, or grapefruit juice
  • 1 tsp magnesium powder (optional)

Directions:

  • Brew the herbal tea or warm the coconut water in the microwave.
  • Add the salt and honey and stir to dissolve fully.
  • Add the juice of your choice and mix to taste. Depending on which citrus juice you use, you might need to add a bit more honey.
  • Store in a glass Mason jar in the fridge and transfer to a reusable water bottle before you head out for the day!

Why salt? A dash of salt in your homemade electrolyte drink is perfect for replenishing what your body loses through sweating. But not all salts are created equally! Himalayan salt is loaded with trace minerals and is perfect for this drink.
